Reflection paper

My First Year of High School
I am part of the class of 2015. In the year 2011, I first came to A&M Consolidated High School, riding on the bus with some of my old friends. I noticed many people that I had met in middle school who were older than me. It was at first very difficult to find my way through the high school and get to class on time. At first period, I had Biology. At second period, I went to the hallway right next to my biology class’s to go to Geometry. Some of my friends found me lucky, as some of them had to travel across the school between each period. After that, I went to orchestra, then to World History. I then went to lunch, then to fifth period. After that was English class in one of the outside portables. My seventh period was right next to that portable for driver’s ed.
I’ve finally started to drive. The instructors always make the whole thing sound more complex than it really was, it was really simple.  The only problem besides the very simple rules you had to remember was that you needed to get over the realization that you were actually driving. After the first semester, I had to get back to cross country. I realized that I missed running too much. I did very well, with two second-place and one first-place award at the track meets. My personal record at the 1600m run was five minutes flat.
And so my time at Consol starts. It’s already hard to believe that a year ago I was in middle school, but at the same time I can remember it like yesterday. It is definitely difficult, though, to realize that I haven’t even completed one fourth of the race.
